Cinema on Sundays at Altrincham Little Theatre
This winter Altrincham Little Theatre is hosting a season of Japanese Cinema. The current season is coming to an end but we are already busy planning for future Cinema on Sundays, there will be a Nordic Film Season to follow soon. Keep an eye on the website for details. The Little Theatre's Russian Film Club, KinemaCat, have more Sunday films coming up - these can be now booked online.
For our final films of this season we will be joined by regular presenter Maggie Hoffgen, who will introduce the films and lead a discussion session after each screening for anyone who wishes to join in. Film notes will be provided and complimentary refreshments will be offered in the theatre bar. Ticket prices have not increased for three seasons so are excellent value, less than £4.50 per film if you purchase a season ticket. Our current film season is part of the 2019-20 Japan-UK Season of Culture.
Films will be introduced by the speaker at 3.15pm, screenings (on our new widescreen cinema screen) begin at about 3.35. The theatre will open from 2.15pm.
Thank you to everyone who attended our weekend festival of nine Japanese films, from Jan 31st - Feb 2nd 2020 with Jonathan Bunt. We hope you enjoyed the weekend.
