Discovering German Cinema provides a wonderful opportunity to see a fascinating selection of films at Altrincham Little Theatre, screened in the original German with English subtitles. Find films which may be new to you, or revisit films previously seen.
We will be joined by regular presenter Maggie Hoffgen, who will introduce the films and lead a discussion session after each screening for anyone who wishes to join in. Film notes will be provided and complimentary refreshments will be offered in the theatre bar. Tickets are available now. Prices have still not increased and work out at less than £4.50 per film if you purchase a season ticket.
Films will be introduced by the speaker at 3.00pm, screenings begin at about 3.15pm. The theatre will open from 2.30pm.
Francophone/African films
We are also hosting some extra screenings on Saturday evenings, with a mini-season of Francophone African films. The first was on October 16th, there are 3 films still to be screened in the New Year.
