Manchester Film Weekender is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit community cinema. Continuing our successful partnership with Alliance Française de Manchester we are pleased to publish the details of the current season of French Cinema on Sundays at Altrincham Little Theatre, from September 2025 - June 2026. Tickets are available online now.

This unique cooperation presents an opportunity to see a wide range of French films with English subtitles, some of which may not have been released commercially in the UK. Each film will be introduced by a member of Alliance Française de Manchester, who will also conduct the post-screening discussion.

Screenings at the Little Theatre are on a full-size cinema screen. Complimentary refreshments will be offered in the theatre bar.

Films will be introduced by the speaker at 3.00pm, screenings begin at about 3.15pm. The theatre will open from 2.15pm.
