A photographer is assigned to cover the police Child Protection Unit

Mélissa is a photographer assigned by the Ministry of the Interior to document the work of the Juvenile Protection unit in Paris, as they go about their daily work with vulnerable and abused children.

Director Maïwenn said that the film's title was derived from a child's misspelling of the word "police".

The film won the Jury Prize at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
